A dental bone graft is a surgical procedure performed preserve bone and site preservation after a tooth is removed or for a tooth that has been removed prior to restoring withan implant or bridge. The process involves placing bone-grafting material— that promotes your body re grow bone. A membrane may be used to cover the graft and promote healing.
A sinus lift, or maxillary sinus augmentation, is a dental surgery that increases the amount of bone in the upper jaw to support dental implants, especially when insufficient bone exists due to tooth loss or anatomy. Lifting the sinus membrane, creates space to place bone graft material to form a new, solid foundation for implants.
A dental implant procedure involves surgically placing a titanium post into the jawbone to replace a missing tooth’s root, followed by a period of healing during which the bone fuses with the implant (osseointegration). After healing, an abutment (a connector) is attached to the post, and a custom-made dental crown or other restoration is placed on the abutment to form a natural-looking and functional replacement tooth.
A gum graft is a dental surgical procedure to treat gum recession by transplanting new tissue to an area where the gum has receded. The tissue, often taken from the patient’s palate, is used to cover exposed tooth roots, which can reduce sensitivity, prevent further recession, and improve the appearance of the smile. The procedure involves numbing the area, harvesting the tissue, and suturing it in place to encourage natural healing and fusion with the existing gums
